Snowed In

The kids had a snow days today. We got about three feet all in about 12 hours and it is still snowing . It was crazy. The kids were thrilled of course. The day started at 6:00 o'clock to listen for school closures then David had to started shoveling us out. We would normal use our ATV, but we sold it a couple of weeks ago with the other things we got rid of. David was out in it all day. This is our last snow fall. So the kids played outside all day. They came in a few times to warm up and have hot chocolate. then out again.
This picture of the kids is trying to stand in the snow. That's how deep it was.

So Beautiful!

This is how deep it was to get out to the Hot tub.
The snow was almost to the railing.

The kids love to go in the Hot Tub when there is snow. They love to run and to dare eachother things to do. This is one of the many things the kids are going to miss.
They were in twice today. The kids were playing like crazy. We are glad that it snowed before we moved. Today was so beautiful. We will miss these days.

It's Frosting Time

Every year since I was a little girl my family has frosted sugar cookies. Its always been a blast. In the last couple of years my Dad has become a little more into it. He frosted 10. That's 5 more from last year. They looked super good. I think having all the Grand kids makes all the difference. All the kids did a good job and there wasn't a big mess. Ya. We all had about 36 cookies to take home. But of course they are gone in a couple of days.

As you can see David, Josh and Micheal really got into it this year. Football was on. And Josh thinks he's to old to frost cookies. But they still had a great time together just seating there. Maybe next year.

We are Moving

It's true we are moving. A couple of weeks ago we got word that we are needed in Miami. David will be working for Scooters America again. They also needed someone who could also speak Spanish. So that's how we became the lucky ones. The family is excited for new adventure but the kids will miss their cousins. We leave Jan 1st. It will take about five days to get there. David starts work on the 5th of Jan. He will be working ten days on , and ten days off. He will be selling Scooters in the Costco's in a 50 miles radius . He is so excited to be with this company which again. We have been very blessed. We understand this is where we need to be. We will miss all of our love ones and our good friends.

A Night to Remember

Josh, Matt, Papa, and our cousin Steve Young had the opportunity to go down to a University of Idaho football game in Moscow last Saturday. Steve is a Sargeant Major in the Army Special Forces and has been here for two weeks on a recruiting assignment . Saturday was Veterans appreciation day at the U of I, so he was invited to make a presentation. To open his presentation he repelled from the raftors. Josh said it was super cool. Because he has the highest rank which can be awarded to an enlisted soldier, he was basically treated like a celebrity and was able to get the boys media passes, which allowed them full access to the field and teams. Papa gave them his camera to take pictures. At the end of the game one of the soldiers picked up the game ball and gave it to the boys. They had an absolute blast and felt like celebrities themselves. Matt and Josh are great friends and they both love Football, so this was perfect for them. This is something that they will remember for the rest of their lives. Thank you Steve, Papa and Grandma Westover for taking the boys out for an amazing time.

Sadly the team lost, but they all had a blast anyway.

Trick or Treat

Well, we are off to go trick or treating. We also had our ward party. We had at in a ward members Barn, of course we had lots of food, and played games. We had a great time. We were pretty lucky to have a clear night for trick or treating. Of course we got lots of yummy candy.

Happy Halloween

The Adult Table

We just had our second annual Halloween dinner. My parents, Kristie and her family came. We had a special guest too. Steve Young, Davids Cousin. It was nice to see him again.

The kids Table

We had Witches brew with creppy critters,(stew) sticky fingers with sliced almonds for the fingernails (bread sticks) monster eyeball salad (apple salad) and Snake venom punch
( shirley temples) and a Spider Cake. We had spooky music playing. I even decorated the house with more Webs and Spiders. We frosted cookies. The kids have a great time. They were looking forward to it again this year. Hopefully we can continue with it for years to come.

Pumpkin Carving

Digging out all the seeds is always the best part. Then mom has to pick the seeds out, wash them , and boil them, to get them ready to eat . Yum, Yum

This Sunday we decided to carve our pumpkins. This was the first year the kids were able to do the pumpkins all by themselves, Ha,. David or I always end up finishing all five pumpkins.

We finished. How do they look?

Our Super Star

Gabe was the Super Star of the week in his class. He had to make a poster about him. He helps the teacher, be a line leader, and hands out papers. He looks forward to go to school everyday. We are so proud of him. He's been the one and only in the family to be reading in kindergarten. It's been great. No worries with him. HA

The end of a Great Season

What are we going to do now?

Friday the team have their end of season party. CHS and Lake City were having thier big game that night so we decided to have a tailgate party at CHS parking lot. We had pizza and football cookies.

Go Chargers

The Cutest guys ever

David has been helping out he with the coaching again this year. The team is doing well this season. Better than last year. This Saturday they played a hard team , the Steelers. They were tough and mean. But the boys played good. Last Night( friday 26th ) they were invited to play at the CHS half time under the lights. It was an awesome experience. Both teams got a touch down.

We think he looks so cute in his uniform. He is just built like a football player. Well, thats a mom for you.
Ready for a kick return. Josh is on the right. (up by Daves shoulder)

Well I have to brag a little. They have him playing at seconary QB, WR, E, ML, DE, and on special teams, WOW. He has good hands and he's fast. We are so proud of him. I love to watch. I never like it when the game is over. I really enjoy football. Uncle Chad (my sister husband) was able to be one of umpires. It was fun to see him in action. But he could of made us win. It was just luck of the draw that Chad was there.
Josh is standing in the way back

The 1st Day of School

JOSH

This year Josh is now in 6th grade. He's at a new school (Canfield) The school had an open house for the new 6 graders. I have to say I was as lost as he was. I have never stepped one foot in the school before. So I wasn't much help. The first day was alittle hard for me this year. My oldest is now in middle school, growing up to fast . And my Gabe went to Kindergarten.
Kyndra 5th grade, Hailee 3rd, Gabe Kindergarten

I know Kyndra looks all grown up. We are says she's going on 16. All kids got good teachers. The teachers they were all hoping for. I think this year will be a good one. Ha.

Gabe and Aaron were able to get into the same class and teacher. Ha. They are best buds will have a great time together. And they have each to stay out of trouble or in.
The whole bunch

The Last Hoora

The Seattle Aquarium

August 28-31 2008

For the last week before school started we decided to visit Donnetta and Mark for the weekend.

the summer went by so fast that we were running out of time. On Saturday morning we went to Pikes Place and to the Aquarium. The kids had a Blast. The little boys thought it was so neat to see the eel eat out from the divers hand. And to finish the day we watched our nephew Brandon play his baseball tournaments. They played great. Way to go Brandon.
Had to take a picture of out cute Gabe. To the upper left of him is a shark. All the kids loved to find the sharks. They had a pond that had ocean fish, crabs, and starfish. They were able to feel them . But Micheal didn't like the sticky ones. We also saw sea horses in a little tank. The kids didn't think they were real. There're real. They were very tiny. I liked them the best. We had so much fun. I am so thankful that were able to squeeze a trip in. I was trying to get a picture of the fish and of michael, But I just got him. I know its a picture of Michael again. ( I can't help it he's our baby) The tank had just nemo, his father ,and Dory. The kids thought it was soooo cute. You can see a little of Nemo.

CDA Triathlon & Duathlon

My Dad, My Mom and I entered in the big cda race. I did the duathlon which is a 3.2 mile run, 26 mile Bike, and 6.2 run. I did ok. I exceeded my personal goals. I finished just under 31/2 hours. I was only about 4 minutes behind my father. Ha. My mom teamed it with a friend. She did the bike. I know, both of my parents bet me. But I just trained for only 3 months. This my dad 3rd race and my moms 2nd. Last year my Mom and I teamed it. I did the run and she biked. Next year David and I are going to do the triathlon. Well , we'll see. I'm not a swimmer and I hate cold water. David was really hoping to do it this year but couldn't find the time. I felt bad for him. It is such a rush and everybody is there is cheering you on. I had such a blast. I thank David for having me have this opportunity to do this. I Love you honey.

This year was the biggest turn out 1300 people entered. The race started at 7:00 am. At the started and poured on us. I was alittle worried for the bike portion because the roads would be slick. I've never biked in the rain before. But when I finshed the first run it cleared up and the sky turned blue again. Ha. It was fun to be their with my family. Thanks Kris for you support. Thank you for those who also took pictures. I had a great time.

Family Day

Just wanna have fun

On Monday for family home evening we decided to go on a little bike near lake Coeur d'Alene than go for pinic and go swimimg by tubbs hill. Josh, Kyndra, Dave and I went cliff jumping. That was my very first time. It was high but I had to jump all the kids were
watching. I couldn't let them down. It was pretty fun. I even jumped a few more times. Dave also loves to flip the kids. And there's Kyndra practicing her cheer moves. We all had a great time together. We are so blessed to have kids that all get along and love eachother.
