Going to the game was an unofficial YM's activity, as we were able to get cheap tickets through Joshuas school. In this Picture (Front to Back) Joshua, Jen, Val Pickard, (Bishop)Mike Pickard,
and Diego Difini, YM's President. We were early, so the YM werent there yet.

Our night at the football stadium was alot of fun. It was prime time showing for Monday Night Football, so it didn't even get started until 8:30 pm EST. The game was fun, but the best part about the evening was the opening ceremonies and National Anthem. It openend with the flag being displayed (shown above) and the national anthem being sung by a group of 6 people that was absolultely amazing and inspiring. Just as the National Anthem was conculding and the words "Home of the Brave" rang through, 4 fighter jets roared over the stadium just above our heads at a deafening noise. It happened so fast, I didn't have time to take a picture. But it sure was neat. We all got chills, and a few tears were shed. What a wonderful thing it is to be an American. Even our friend Diego, who is Argentinian, made comment that he wishes that patriotism was something more celebrated in his country like it is here in America. We are blessed, and despite it's imperfections, we, here in South Florida, are still very
Proud to Be Americans.

Isabellas Blessing

We blessed Bella on the September 6th. It was a fun filled day. We have some friends over for dinner. And had a good time.We have made some great friends. It was different not to have family around on this special day. David gave a wonderful blessing. We were all in tears.

Isabella is such a good baby. And so happy. We are so much enjoying her in our family.


This is the dress that Great -Grandma Young bought many years ago for my girls. I thought I wasn't going to pull it out again. . Grandma always loved to shop for lace and picked a beautiful dress. She sure was in our thoughts that day. I sure miss her.

First Day of School

Josh 7th, Kyndra 6th, Hailee 4th,

Gabe 1st, and Michael in Pre-school

They all had a fun day at school. Josh and Kyndra had no problems.Hailee had to take summer school to take her FCAT test again so she could advance to 4th grade. She passed and we are so proud of her. She worked super hard this summer. She loves her teacher and she enjoys school. She loves to be with her friends. Gabe also did great.When he got to his room he had to find his desk. He had a little hard time finding it. He was looking a little worried . So I went in to help him. His desk had his full name Gabriel. He has only gone by the name Gabe..No worries, we figured it out. He had a good time. Now Michael on the other hand, he was so excited to go to school with the other kids. Did great until it was time to pick him up. The other parents got there super early. We were still early but he saw all the others kids leave and he thought he was going to stay and that we would forget him. This is the first time he has been alone without his siblings around. This is a big step for him. He goes 5 days from 9am., to 12:00pm. In South Florida the program(VPK) is free. The state wants them to be ready for Kindergarten. It make a long day for him. When he comes home he wants his lunch and to take a nap. So my afternoons are very quiet. So far...Fridays at school Michael takes a karate class.
He loves it and shows us all his new moves.

The End to a Great Summer

Summer is over

We had a busy Summer this year. After school ended we all waited for our little bundle of joy to join our family. She arrived on July 14th. She is so fun... My Parents came for a visit on July 16th and stayed through the 28th. We went to the beach and went on a Air boat ride and saw a 10 foot Alligator right from our boat. Did some shopping and enjoyed some Cuban food. The boys (David, Grandpa Jack and Josh )went deep sea fishing. We enjoyed our time with them and it was sad to see them go. A week later on August 6th my sister came to see us all. I wish she could have stayed longer. We again went to the beach. And took her out with some of our friends to one our our favorite Italian restaurants and had a great time. She was a a lot of help and we had a wonderful time together. We all miss them very much.

Regal Theaters sponsers free movies all sumer here, which was nice as we were able to attend the movies every Tuesday and Thursday to watch some free movies. We a brought our popcorn and snacks and met our friends. On Wednesdays we would meet up with our beach going friends, and would head down to the beach. We would either spend our time at Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood Beaches. It was always fun to drive down past Port Everglades and see all the Cruise ships in Port. It makes us anxious to take advantage of some great pricing on some cruises. There is one ship line that will carry us to the Bahamas for $49.00 for the day. The bahamas are only about 50 miles off shore. Although we haven't done it yet, I am sure we will. There is so much to do here and we have barely scratched the surface of all the fun activities we look forward to taking part in. Now that the baby is here and I am feeling better, we plan on checking some of these need to do activities off out list as soon as possible. Down on Hollywood beach they have a wonderful Boardwalk area, we we can just walk up and down the beach, do a little shopping, or stop for an ice cream and enjoy it while strolling along beach.

The final week of Summer Break, we made a trip to Orlando for the weekend to support our friend Laura in her first triathlon, She did amazing and has further inspired me to get back in to shape. We stayed in a hotel with a water park. It was alot of fun, and the kids were able to use the park as much as they wanted during our stay. It wasn't the largest of waterparks, but nevertheless, it was pretty good size and we had a great time. It was pretty cool to know that all the kids could swim, so we could really just relax and enjoy ourselves while at the waterpark. Even little Mike handles himself really well in the water now, and he spent most of his time floating around the lazy river all by himself. He is tall enough that he could walk when we wasn't swimming. Orlando is actually quite lovely, and we really enjoy visiting there. It seems that when we are not working or doing school, all we have to do is walk out our front door and it feels like we are on vacation, It's pretty wonderful. We are all loving South florida. We have so much to do here and so much opportunities to offer.

Josh is now playing Football, but he injured his knee a couple of weeks ago, and although he is walking fine we are taking out time getting him back in to full practices and games. We figure a couple of weeks more and he should be good to go. The coaches really need him to come back and play. They are all so impressed with him. He just came back from a tournament in Tennessee and they had a game on Sunday and he of course refused to play. Even when the coaches begged him to go in, he simply told them he couldn't, it just wouldn't feel right. We are so proud of him. Kyndra will be starting Tennis in September. And Hailee is hoping to get back into Soccer. I am training for her first triathlon on October 24th in Orlando. We really couldn't be happier, we are truly loving our lives here in Florida, and we have already all grown so much. David and I both feel that our family is closer now than we ever have been. We are all healthy and happy. Grandma and Papa are hoping to come and visit us in November for Thanksgiving, and Debbie and Kevin will drive down then too. We certainly hope it all works out. We would love to see them again.

I guess one good thing about not being able to nurse. Is
the family can be apart of helping take care of her.

Of course, Gabe took her up to his room for some cuddle time. There is not a moment she is left alone. She's always in someones arms. Yes, she is very, very spoiled.

Brotherly Love

Isabella is very loved.

When we decided to name her. We wanted a a little Spanish twist to her name. Being born in South Florida. Come to find out that Isabella is also a Italian name and Bella means beautiful in Italian. I was super excited. When people here call her by name it sound really pretty. I'm so glad that Michael had a dream about her and that Isabella was her name. I know she was so waiting to come into our family. She is good baby. A couple of days ago, she weighed in at

8 lbs. 8oz. She's getting so big. She's is one of my better sleepers . At night she sleeps for about 4-5 hours. I'm up with her at least once maybe twice. She now is eating about 4 oz. every 4 hrs. I'm so glad it helps me plan my day. I've been so blessed.

Sometimes I feel like a first time mommy all over again. It's been a while since we have had alittle one. Especially living in South florida the climate is so different. I had to ask the dotor what to do with the heat. How to a dress her, watch for her body temp. They told me to dress her in one layer outside and two layers inside. We have noctice she starts to get hot after 3 hours. I was also told that she wasn't suppose to go in a pool or in the ocean intil she was about 2 months old. I remember going to Canada up to the hot spring with a new born and taking them in. So many things have changed since we had a baby last. Learning as we go.

She is healthy, strong and happy.

I love you More. A mother of 6 you now are Our dream now fulfilled which once seemed so far.It all began late June of 96When you placed your hand in mine and made me your final pick.We started out together, like so many before, But 13 years later have found so much more.We laugh, we cry, we rejoice and we struggle. And my heart still skips a beat each time that we snuggle. A large family was our plan, the desire of our hearts, so this journey began with love from the start.The Lord saw fit to bless us with a child, a son so sweet so tender and mild.Then we were sent a daughter, as sweet as a peach, how could we be so blessed, to have one of each. Another little girl was then sent to adore. . Now we had three, but we wanted more. A couple years passed until the next baby came, which was probably good since we felt half insane. But when the next boy came how grateful we were, as the years passed us by so much like a blur. More time we wanted to enjoy their sweet youth. They were growing too quickly, and we soon learned the truth.That as the years pass us by, they're not long enough. And to see them pass by is indeed very tough. So with that in mind we had number five, a home no longer, now more like a hive. 5 children were ours and I was content. Our time having babies was time very well spent. A couple years passed then she popped the question. She wanted another, it was was more than a suggestion. She prodded, and pryed, pleaded and cried, until in the end she simply could not be denied. I decided 1 time that's all I will give, 1 time was enough, now number 6 lives. The blessing she is, goes way beyond speach. With 3 boys and 3 girls we have 3 of each.She says we are done now, Our family is here. She feels content and promises no more tears. I love her with all this heart of mine can muster. I've learned to rely on her, listen and trust her. She inspires me to be better, more patient and kind. Her well being and happiness consume my whole mind.We now live in Florida, very much apart. From the family that has loved us and supported us from the start. But because of your help, your love and example. Our home is a haven, wherein your love we can sample. Your pictures are hung, we witness your care, your love is enduring its felt everywhere.To my wife, my support, my very best friend. I love you, and cherish you and will without end.
