Happy Birthday Josh

The Big 12.
After the day at the beach we came
home had dinner, opened presents and had Pie.

Of course I had to make his favorite dessert.

Fresh Strawberry Pie.

Yes, now we need to work on the beach body. Ha, Ha. Well, football starts up in the next couple of weeks so we need to get ready for that. Football is a lot more serious so we better be ready.

We decided to get him snorkel gear. Their is a place called Red Reef in Boca Raton. It's only about 20-30 minutes away. It's suppose to be one of the top places to snorkel. It's free. You just pay for the parking. The Reef is shallow so the little boys will be able to snorkel as well. And see some beautiful tropical fish. We are excited.

We love You Josh!

Sea To Shinning Sea

For Joshuas Birthday we went to Key Biscayne. It's a small beautiful island. We went for the day. The weather was great. We all got our first sun burns. Gabe and Kyndra are the worst. But the rest of us are okay. And of course David is red, like always. We still had to cover him up with the towels. Wimp. I hope he gets somewhat of a tan eventually. We saw an awesome lighthouse, the kids over 8 could go up to the top. They said it was very windy and really cool. They counted the stairs and there was 110 stairs. Of course, Gabe, Micheal and I stayed below. David was able to get some great views of the beach and of Miami. We thought Andy would love this picture. He was in our thoughts this day.

We live in a Beautiful Place !!!

Father like son.

Micheal is not sure of the ocean yet. He's a little scared of the sharks. They both kept covered and enjoyed the sun.

Our beach babe!

Gabe making sand dunes for his cars and trucks. He didn't like the taste of the ocean water, but it didn't take him long to get use to it. They all love the ocean.

Way to Go

Gabe is always trying new things. He just figures things out on his own. One day he wanted to learn how to ride the rip stick so first he got on, held onto the car and went down the driveway to get some speed. He got further each time. Now he's pro. He is so good at everything he does. He just doesnt' have any fear.

He even smiled for the camera.

We love you Gabe!

Field Day

Kyndra's 5th grade Class with Mrs Thomspon

Their school had a field day where all the 5th grade classes (7 of them) Compete in different events. It lasted half of the day. They had a great time. Hailee and Gabe had them too but I wasn't thinking and forgot the camera.

This is Isabella. Kyndra's new friend. She lives in our neighborhood.

Their class won the tug a war game. And yes, Kyndra is the smallest one in her class STILL.

Gone fishin!

Today a friend (Angel ) took me to fun place called Old Time Pottery. We were there All day. This store had everything fun to artificial flowers, pots, metal decor, furniture, sheets, rugs, pictures, frames for .99 cents., Cooking ware, all house items, About everything you would need to make your house beautiful and fun. I bought the kids some little fishing nets. We have some baby fish and little tad poles close to the shore. They had so much fun, even the neighbor kids came to join in on the fun.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

A new Tradition we have started about three years ago.

Our day starts off with the kids waking up to Leprechaun foot prints leading to the pot of Gold. The Leprechaun leaves a trail of gold, clovers, candy and confetti. We leave to chest empty under a windowsill where the moon will shine on it. And the leprechaun fills the box with gold candy coins, gold wrapped candy and jewels. . The kids are so excited to found where the treasure chest was hidden. They now look forward to it every year.

Then for dinner we have an ALL green dinner. Corn beef and cabbage, pear-lime jello, green rolls, with green butter, lime soda, and green mashed potatoes. We all had fun. Once again
Dad was at work. But was thought of in our hearts.

Things we've learned about Florida

1. Where we live is called South Florida. Emphasis on South. Nobody says "Welcome to Florida" its always "Welcome to South Florida".

2. All the schools have uniforms.

3. South Florida has a lot of ants, tons of ants, millions of ants, trails of ants, and more little ants. All trying to get in the house. Oh wait, they are all ready in the house. Gabe has made them his new pets.

4. The day we moved we had to put away all our winter clothes in a box.

5. You are allowed to talk on the phone while driving . (unlike other states) and the kiddos are not always in seat belts.

6. You have to make sure you have all information before signing up for anything.( Birth Certificate, ID., passport, shot records, marriage licences, etc., etc., etc. )

7. Be ready to wait: make sure you have nothing going on for the rest of the day. You'll be waiting, waiting, and waiting for ever til its your turn in line. David and I waited to get our Drivers Licences for 3 1/2 hrs.

8. All the water from the ponds is water from underground. Years ago this whole area was part of the everglades, until they dredged up the land and created islands around pockets of water, which is now the primary source of irrigation for the neighborhoods. So although our house now sits upon the same area where once there were snakes, alligators, and other unimaginable creepy crawly things, they are all gone now thank goodness.

9. They tell us that occasionally an alligator will find its way into common waterways, but is in unlikely. We are also told that baby alligators do live in the water, but are harmless, but baby alligators grow up, yikes.

10. The kids have to take a test to determine if they pass or fail the grade level.

11. Homework. Never ends. More, more , more every night. Our poor kids.

12. So many different races here. So I am concerned Caucasion, Not White. Weird.

13. We have to lock our cars, houses, garages, The second week we were here Gabes Bike was stolen.

14. Everyone drives super fast. The speed limit for residential areas is 35. The school zone are 15.

15. The normal speed is about 45-50. And if you stop to long at a stop sign someone will honk at you . I thought I had a lead foot. but I guess not. David fits in really well. So make sure your horn is in good working order.

16. All the houses have tile or hard wood floors. Ouch, My feet kill after a while. But we've heard its cooler in the summer months.

17. The ducks in the ponds, lakes, and canals are fake in some of the neighbors. The are floating in the middle of the water. We think they alligator decoys. To keep them away.

18. The people here are wonderful, very laid back most of the time and we are really enjoying the diversity. David gets plenty of opportunities to use his spanish.

IT'S A GIRL !!!!!!!

Here I am 22 weeks.
On Tuesday March 3rd I finally went to the doctor.

Our insurance kicked in and I was able to go see the doctor. The baby looked good and healthy. Later that day I had to make another appointmet to get an ultra-sound. At 1:30 the whole crew was able to be in the room to see what we were having.

A GIRL !!!

This is a perfect picture of her sucking her thumb. She is now 13 oz.

How cute.

She was moving a lot and we were able to get a lot of good pictures. The family is so excited to be having a girl. It's been a while since we have had a little girl in the family. We will be even now. 3 boys, 3 girls. (the brady bunch) I am feeling good. I've been so blessed. I know this little girl was waiting to come into our family. It's all in the Lords time.,

Micheal came down stairs one morning and told me if my baby was out. I said ,why.He said "I had a dream I was playing with her". I said you did, what was her name. He said "it's Isabella. Ever since he has been wanting to play with Isabella toys. He didn't even know what names we were thinking of . It's a amazing how close children are to the spirit.

So we think her name might be:

* Isabella Joy Westover *
