Still treking

We has bacon and beans, cornbread. Yum, yum. We must of all been hungry. Our Sweet Jessica. I got an awesome picture of Jes. She looks too cute. She was also in a great family. (The Coxs. Dusty & Kim). On the last day her family was in front of us and Melissa in back. We were so blessed. We were able to see them all the time. Well, Jamin wasn't so lucky. We didn't see much of him. He was always far away and he had to stay with his family. He had a good time too. How could you not. What an experience this was. We love you all.

One of our boys caught a horny toad. It was a pretty size.

This was the hill for the womens pull.

On wednesday we had a women pull. It was harder than I that. We had a strong girl in our family Kama Griffits. She a basketball players for chs. The hill was constant with switch backs. I that I was in good shape. I guess not. When we all made it up all the women sang Sisters in Zion. It was the most spiritual experince on the trip. We had many of the girls in tears and myself. I still get teary just thinking about it. It was hard.

Some of the boys could any watch without tears rolling down. And then boys who have cared less.

It was nice to see the boys be in that situation.

We had two boys in our family in tears and just wanted to help and just couldn't, they just had to watch. Of course David was in tears too. It was very hard for him to just sit back in watch.

Oh David.. He looks SOOOO cute. He was an awsome cook. We had to cook in the dutch ovens. We brought dad Westovers oven . They worked well. He made cornbread. It looked awesome. Golden brown and was also cooked all the way through. It tasted great. His Dad would be proud. Dave has always watch his dad since he was little but never did it on his own. I was so proud of him. He was the cutest pioneer there.

When we got home our kids all thought he looked like Indiana Jones.

Andy and Melissa. Melissa was always behind us. Her family and ours became close friends (Justin and Shannon Pluid). So we saw her quite often. She sure surprised us all. She was always up in front pulling the handcart. And won the stick pull for the girls in our group. Way to go Melissa. It was fun to have Andy there as well.

Trek

June 11th-14th our stake went to the tri-cities for a trek. It was great experience. Wed. 5:00am we meet at the stake center to catch the buses. We then recieved our families. We has 8 kids. Surprisely most of the 18 ma's and ma 's didn't know anyone on their list. The stake leaders did a great job putting the kids into the families. This is a picture of our Family. On the first day we got sun, rain, high winds and it even helled. We were all pretty wet and cold. We made it to camp and had dinner then was told we had to move about 500ft. away. We were so close to the crops . The farmers were spraying cemicals on the fields. So we all had to pick and move. Everyone was in good spirits. We walked about 4 to 5 miles a day. We walked in brushes, weeds, dirt, mud, and more dirt. We were all very dirty.

Later on Wed. We had three people on horseback bring the youth letters from home. Most of the kids cried.

This in our family walking to Zion.

Oh, Don't we look GREAT. Me in my funny looking Bounet. It was tooo big. So I got burned. Later I decided to use someone elses. I didn't care what I looked like towards to end. I was burned, Hot, and dirty. We had a great time. David looked handsome the whole time. We are so greatly for this wonderful experience. We feel very blessed.

Preschool Graduation

Kindergarten here I come.

Gabe had fun with his teacher Miss Cinda. Thats what we all called her. Her named is Cindy Porter. She is a member of the church. I helped out one day a week so he could go for free. During the year I had to help her help for about 8 weeks. She had 4 employers leave in a months time. I taught 11 pre-preschool kids which were 3 years old. I didn't have anyone to help me out and I had to figure out what I was going to teach each day. The kids were monsters at first I did get them to all obey me by my 4th week. Figures. I had to remember to love them. Some of the kids didn't have parents. They were in foster care beacuse they were in drugs or were not kind to their kids. I was sad somedays just because their were kids that just needed to be loved and to be huged. I had a blast. I learned alot from this experience. I really learned to love each one of our Heavenly Father Children.

Gabe and his cousin Caleb had a lot of fun together at school. They went three days a week. They really became great friends. My sister and her family leave in postfalls were we went to preschool. She also worked there too. She's still working through half of the summer. We all enjoyed the school. It felt good to be there and to know you were with Lds friends.

The school put on a program for the parents. They sang songs and had a BBQ. About half of the songs they sang were primany songs. Popcorn poping, spring time, Birds in the tree, Because it spring , and wise man foolish man. So the boys knew the songs. It was a great year for Gabe.
